I have been in Spain for over one and a half months.

What interests you most about living in Spain?

My first impression is that the people are amazingly friendly and welcoming. It´s like being home, frankly. Even though there was initial Language barriers one can easily see the willingness of the people to help. The Lugo environment is very peaceful, safe and secured. The environment is also well preserved. High-rise buildings take up living spaces, while greater part of the environment is kept green. Living cost in Lugo is low, especially for basic day-to-day needs.

How is it different from where you come from?

Lugo is a very compact city unlike Nicosia in Cyprus where I come from. It is much greener. The people are more accommodating and helpful. Cost of living is far cheaper here. The ambience of the city is superb - it has a lay-back type feel, not slow not fast. I would say it is an ideal place to live in. Finally, racism here is near zero!

What have you acquired so far or learnt so far?

I have picked up a few Spanish words to greet and communicate. Attended Lugo cultural festival. It awakens me to some cultural similarities with my Ijaw tribe in Nigeria. Visited archaelogical sites, museum and ancient city wall.

Developing entrepreneurial skills.

Acquiring skills on how to use Twitter and Instagram social media tools to support startup businesses.

Can you describe the social life with other students

Participated in Lugo cultural festivities. Visited Cafe shops and gardens together sit-outs. Attended outdoor parties. Visited museum and archaeological sites. Shopping together.

What can you tell other students who want to come to Spain?

Lugo is a very peaceful, safe and secure city. It is compact. The ambience is superb. The people are just amazingly friendly. Racism is virtually zero here in Lugo! The city is very green and properly planned. Shopping malls are cafes are in close proximity. Lugo is not big and not very small. If want to do internship this city is the right place - cost of living is cheap, especially basic needs (food items, etc.)
